Honor code applies, of course. Be sure to use your own words for everything, copying nothing from any text or PowerPoint presentation. There should be no formal citations or references. No quotes. Answer all questions, typed, approximately two or two and one-half pages per question, double-spaced, 12 point font, Times New Roman. Please write no more than ten pages total for the entire exam. Put the finished exam in my mailbox in room 327 Tarbutton. 1. You are a writer for Rolling Stone magazine, and you are trying to write a provocative article comparing some aspect of rap music with Wagner’s politics as expressed in his "Ring" operas. What would you write? 2. Discuss the political music of George Harrison, focusing on the time period after the Beatles broke up as a group. In what ways is his music similar to that of Bob Marley’s? 3. In what ways could Bob Dylan’s music be considered political manifesto music?
