QUESTIONS and DISCUSSION: Do you see how Marley's songs have both a spiritual and political coherence? Can you relate these two aspects in your own words? What is "Babylon" and what is the "Babylon system?" What is the significance of the words "Wake Up and Live?" Relate this to what Marley means when he sings "Say something" in "Could You Be Loved." Can you explain the "dreadlocks" and their significance to Marley's music, politics, and spirituality? Why is Marley and his message universal and not limited to only people of color? Can you explain why his spiritual views are the key to the answer to this question, and can you connect this with our common captivity in Babylon?
